Philosophy of Education:
I believe that a classroom is a melting pot of unique students
with different strengths, needs, and personalities. I feel it is important for
an educator to really get to know her students so the learning opportunities
that she provides can help students find academic success. Getting to know
students involves caring about their well-being inside and outside of the
classroom, and understanding their interests and family/cultural dynamics.
Students deserve to be provided a rich, stimulating, and safe learning
environment where they can grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
Providing such an environment involves using multi-sensory lessons, variety of
technology tools, cooperative learning tasks, and differentiated
instruction.
